How Does Our Repair Process Work?

At Huddersfield Gas and Plumbing our priority is to get your boiler repaired at the first attempt with a first time fix whenever possible.

This isn’t always possible though, and sometimes non van stocked parts and materials are required, which have to be ordered to get your boiler back up and running correctly and safely.

We endeavour to return to carry out the fitting of parts and materials the next available working day, your repair will be prioritised.

When we attend your property we will carry out a diagnostic assessment and repair within the hour if possible. For this you will only be charged £59-00 per hour plus materials between 9am and 4pm or £90-00 per hour plus materials out of hours between 4pm and 8pm. After 1 hour, billing will be broken down into 30 minute periods.

If we can’t carry out a first time fix and require special order parts and/or materials you will be charged a diagnosis fee of £35-00 between 9am and 4pm or £55-00 out of hours between 4pm and 8pm.

We will then send you a quotation via email to accept or decline that gives full details of the fault, the parts to be ordered and the total price to return and repair. We will also verbally tell you the details of the fault on the first visit.
